Can’t afford to fly business class? Most of us can’t. But with Hawaiian Airlines there’s now a way to get some of the perks at a fraction of the cost.
Hawaiian Airlines has fitted a section of their A330 planes with “extra comfort seating” — a step-up from economy but with some of the benefits of business and the best bit — it will only cost you an extra $165.
Not only do you get seats with a 36 inch seat pitch (regular economy seat pitch is 31 inches), the ticket also gives you priority boarding at the gate, an express security pass for Australians to use in Honolulu airport, in-seat power (both USB and power point), a complimentary entertainment pack (you’ll be charged a fee to watch movies in the economy section), an amenity kit with eye mask, toothbrush, lotion, lip balm and tissues as well as a pillow and blanket.
Considering the flight is around 10 hours from Australia’s east coast, a little extra leg room and entertainment goes a long way. Every customer flying Hawaiian Airlines from Australia also receives a generous 64 kilogram free baggage allowance per person (two bags weighing up to 32kg each) which makes the carrier a great choice if you’re looking to get away to paradise.
