Aloha!

Hawaii is the 50th state of the United States of America and is a chain of dozens of islands in the Pacific Ocean. Many of these islands are tiny and uninhabited. The eight main islands that make up Hawaii are Maui, Oahu, Kauai, Molokai, Lanai, Niihau, Kahoolawe and Hawaii.

The state is most famous for its friendly people, sunshine and beautiful beaches and is also the birth place of surfing. Hawaii’s largest city is Honolulu which has a population of approximately 350,000 within a county of about 993,000 people.

Peak season
There’s no denying Hawaii is a tourist hot spot with millions of holidaymakers visiting there each year to enjoy its wonderful beaches and national parks. Of the six main islands: Hawaii, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, Oahu and Kauai, the most populous is Oahu and this is where flights to Hawaii touchdown in the capital of Honolulu.
Honolulu is where most first-time visitors choose to start exploring Hawaii with iconic Waikiki Beach, popular with sunbathers, divers, surfers and honeymooners from all over the world. The peak tourism season in Hawaii is from mid-December until mid-April, and when competition for cheap flights to Hawaii is high. Even though this coincides with the rainy season, the balmy temperatures around 27C / 28C attract visitors escaping the cold weather of the northern regions of the US. If you’re planning on booking a flight to Hawaii during this period, reservations need to be made well in advance as many hotels and resort get fully booked. Expect hikes in prices by airlines, tour and car rental companies too.

Off season
Hawaii doesn’t really have a low season but May, September, October, November (until the middle of the month) are quieter months when demand is slightly lower and you may pick up the cheap flights to Hawaii and discounted accommodation.
